The client’s previous report designs relied heavily on copyrighted scientific figures and outdated 3D illustrations. This posed both legal challenges and a dated visual tone, inconsistent with GPI’s innovative positioning. Our mission was to create an original, future-oriented visual identity that reflects scientific rigor, innovation, and sustainability.
Project Objective
Design a full 128-page annual report that
• Resolves copyright issues by recreating approximately 70 custom scientific figures.
• Delivers two distinctive cover concepts aligned with the GPI brand.
• Establishes a clear, minimal, and contemporary layout direction.

Art Direction
The art direction embraced a minimalist yet high-tech aesthetic, aligning with the futuristic ambitions of phosphorus-based battery innovation. The report balances clean geometry, negative space, and soft gradients. Scientific figures were stripped of outdated 3D effects and redrawn in a sleek, The chosen cover features a mint green electric vehicle rendered with a holographic glow, symbolizing forward momentum in Moroccan battery innovation, simple, luminous, and bold in its understatement.

• Concept & Research: Developed two cover design directions and defined a consistent infographic style.
• Illustration: Recreated approximately 70 scientific diagrams in Adobe Illustrator, with emphasis on clarity and minimalism.
• Cover Design: Created visual propositions in Adobe Photoshop.
• Layout: Designed all 128 pages, including covers in Adobe InDesign ensuring consistency, readability, and balance.

Final Result
The project culminated in a 128-page report that successfully combined scientific depth with sleek, future-forward design. The selected cover featured a minimalist electric vehicle illustration with glowing mint green accents and a subtle holographic effect, supported by ample negative space to emphasize innovation and clarity. Internally, the recreated 70+ scientific figures adopted a clean, flat aesthetic that made complex content more digestible. Overall, the GPI 2025 Annual Report reinforced the organization’s leadership in sustainable battery innovation while reflecting a sophisticated and contemporary visual identity.
